“We wanted to master the classic cocktails and bring the guest back to the prohibition era,” said Cole Hopfenspirger, one of Meatball Eatery’s founders. Guests can enjoy daiquiris, Moscow Mules, Old Fashioneds, and other classic cocktails every day. During Happy Hour, guests can also enjoy half-off “Giggle Water” cocktail creations and $3 draft beer, including local and top-tier microbrews. Happy Hour lasts from 3 to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Cocktails aside, Meatball Eatery features a food menu centered around meatballs and other Italian-influenced dishes. Most ingredients are made in-house, including pastas, sauces, and salads. Fresh mozzarella balls, crispy parmesan polenta sticks, and the meatball charcuterie platter are included on the happy hour menu.

Each week, the establishment features a different celebration centered around an upcoming holiday or event. Some are a throwback to the 1930s era itself: Prohibition Repeal Day, for example, will be celebrated December 5th.

The restaurant is one of two restaurant concepts at the same location. The other, Zig Zag Smokin’ Burger, serves fine food and craft cocktails in a contemporary American setting. Both restaurants are operated by brothers Cole and Brock, and Brock’s wife Brittany Hopfenspirger, under the Hopfenspirger Hospitality umbrella.
