Bangladesh Police import horses from India for training

Bangladesh Police have imported 20 horses for around Tk 15 million from India for training its personnel.

The trained horses were brought to Bangladesh on Thursday, Benapole Land Port Police Station OC Abu Saleh Masud Karim told bdnews24.com. 

The horses, bought from India’s Pritam Singh Thind and Sons, will be used for training, Md Sohel Rana, an assistant inspector general at the Police Headquarters, said.

These were brought with the help of clearing and forwarding agency ‘Madhyom’.

Its owner Sajedur Rahman said the import cost of the 20 trained horses was $179,200 or around Tk 15 million.
