The song by Finnish novelty group KAJ — which Sweden picked as its Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) entry over the weekend — has reached the top of Spotify's global viral chart.
The group's song, Bara bada bastu (roughly translated as Let's just sauna) won Sweden's Melodifestivalen last Saturday, which means the group will represent Finland's Nordic neighbour at the ESC in May.
Over the course of the past few days since the victory, the song has reached number one on Spotify's global viral chart.
Newspaper Helsingin Sanomat reported that KAJ's track was the 138th most-streamed song on Spotify the day after Sweden's Melodifestivalen. Bara bada bastu also became the most-streamed song by a winner of the Swedish contest in a single day, with 800,000 streams, according to Swedish news agency TT.
The band is originally from Vörå, in Finland's Ostrobothnia region, and includes members Jakob Norrgård, Axel Åhman and Kevin Holmström.
According to bookmakers, Bara bada bastu is currently most favoured to win the Eurovision Song Contest this year. Meanwhile Finland's entry, Erika Vikman's Ich Komme, was the sixth-favourite to win ESC as of around midday on Wednesday.
