The Beaconsfield station is located at 104 Elm Ave., near the intersection of Highway 20 and St. Charles Blvd.

Before arriving in Beaconsfield, the train will stop in Montreal West to spread some Christmas cheer. The train will be at the Montreal West station from 7 to 7:30 p.m.

Residents are invited to watch as the CP Holiday Train passes through Pointe-Claire on its way to the Beaconsfield stop. The Valois Village Holiday Train event is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Valois station in Pointe-Claire, at 114 Donegani Ave. There will be entertainment and activities offered for the families.

Each Holiday Train is about 1,000 feet in length with 14 brightly decorated rail cars. The cars are decorated with hundreds of thousands of LED lights and “holiday designs celebrating the spirit of the giving season,” CP organizers stated.

Although each holiday train event is free, CP is once again encouraging the public who attend to make a food or monetary donation to local food bank representatives on hand.

Since the CP Holiday Train program was launched in 1999, it has raised more than $15.8 million and gathered 4.5 million pounds of food for North American food banks along CP’s routes in Canada and the United States. In addition, CP makes a donation at each stop.

“The CP Holiday Train program is our way to help in the fight against hunger by growing awareness of this issue and providing a fun and engaging way for the public to show their support,” said Keith Creel, CP’s president and chief executive officer.

CP is also encouraging fans of the train to donate ’heart-healthy’ food. This will support the mission of “CP Has Heart”, a program dedicated to improving the heart health of men, women and children in North America.
