UPDATE May 24: Police have identified the man whose body was found in the Mississippi River Wednesday as 60-year-old Timothy Maxwell of Bettendorf. An autopsy was conducted and no foul play is suspected. Police confirm it's the same man suspected of falling into the river on Saturday while working on a boat at the Davenport Sailing Club. ------------------- Original: A body has been recovered from the Mississippi River in Davenport on Wednesday, just before 11 a.m. Police were called to the Credit Island causeway after a fisherman discovered a body floating in the river. The Davenport Fire Department and Iowa DNR worked together to recover the body. The body has been identified as an adult male and an autopsy is being scheduled.
